The Empower Her 2 Project – Located in Ogoja, Calabar, Nigeria.
The Empower Her 2 Project, located in Adagom 1 Refugee Settlement, Ogoja, Cross River State, Nigeria, promotes sustainable development by addressing educational and social needs in a government-established Internally Displaced Settlement. Using a Learn Through Play approach, it equips displaced girls and youth and children ( 8–17 years) with skills and values for self-reliance and brighter futures, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, 8, and 10.
Since the pilot began in Q3 2023, the program has supported sustainability through personal growth, emotional stability, and community impact. By Q4 2024, daily sessions participants range between 82-110 participants, integrating education with nutritious snacks to enhance well-being.
